Nutrition and inflammatory bowel disease epidemiology

The project explores the link between pregnancy diet and the child’s risk of inflammatory bowel disease. This is implemented through three sub-projects, each focusing on different areas of maternal diet in the Danish National Birth Cohort (DNBC), which is a large cohort of pregnant women and their offspring established in 1996-2002 to investigate early life exposures and disease susceptibility later in life.
