Beskrivelse

Researchers at Aalborg University are working on a project to make safety shoes safer by reducing the risk of tripping and ankle twists. The project focuses on reducing braking force during collisions and allowing the shoe to return to a neutral position after a potential twist. Professor Pascal Madeleine from Aalborg University says: "Our initial results show that safety shoes are, in fact, less safe than ordinary shoes when it comes to tripping. However, our project also seeks to improve safety shoes to prevent tripping, twisting and falling injuries, making them safer." Mathias Munk-Hansen, a PhD student at Aalborg University, adds that lab tests provide specific knowledge about the safety shoes of the future.
