In a commentary, David Budtz Pedersen, professor of science communication at Aalborg University, and Rémi Quirion, professor and Chief Scientist of Québec, write about the "information crisis" which includes the spread of misinformation. However, they state that more citizens demand more factual information than ever before, according to studies. Mr Pedersen and Mr Quirion state that the response to the current information crisis should be to enhance information quality and integrity. "More work is needed to bring research into contact with society.
